OESCA Community Features

Discussions

Community members can post discussion topics or ask questions using different threads. Simply go to the community in which you are a member, and click on "Discussion" to post.

Resources

Libraries house resources such as documents, recordings, and graphics. Library resources may be available sitewide or just to your community. Members can post resources and materials.

Events

Post events for your community, invite members, add resources like agendas or documents, and set reminders.

Members

Communities list all members, making communication easy and building relationships.

Customization

When you log into the OESCA site, you'll see information specific to your communities and events, so you can find the information that pertains to you quickly and easily.

Notification

Members choose how they will receive information - receive an e-mail each time someone posts in your community, or set up a daily or weekly consolidated e-mail that includes all posts and information from all of your communities in one e-mail.

Security

Communities and their resources can be public or private - the community manager can set permissions for who can see what content.

Inbox

With the volume of e-mails we receive each day, it's easy to lose track of a particular message. Find all e-mails sent to you from your communities in your personal OESCA inbox.

Blogs

Share the latest news or take meeting minutes using the blog function. After you post your blog, it will be available to all members and will be housed in the community library.

Collaboration

No more e-mailing versions of group work back and forth - collaborate on a shared document in your community.

Announcements

Community moderators can post announcements to ensure members get the information and updates they need.
